Independent creative agency jnr. has appointed Danny Brown and Emerson Hunt as associate creative directors.
The duo were the creatives behind jnr.’s recent Pizza Hut brand re-launch campaign, ‘How Bad Do You Want Good?’ and will continue to lead the account creatively.
Prior to joining jnr., the pair were at DDB Aotearoa, where they worked across a range of clients, most notably McDonald’s and Lotto NZ.
“Danny and Emerson are the kind of creatives every agency wants in its corner. They’re curious about people, culture and the world, and that curiosity makes its way into the work. They bring a rare combination of sharp creative thinking, great craft and a point of view that feels entirely their own. And on top of all that, they’re wonderful people to have around. I couldn’t be happier to have them joining us,” said jnr. executive creative director and partner Jenny Mak.
“Jenny, John and Ryan are building something really exciting here. The team’s ambitious. The clients are brave. The thinking’s fresh. And from the get-go, we just clicked. All that made joining jnr. a no-brainer for us. We’re stoked to be part of the next chapter and can’t wait to get stuck into more great work together. And while Brown & Hunt may sound like a whisky, we’re not big drinkers. So, we’ll raise a kombucha to this one,” said Brown and Hunt.
“Danny and Em are not only incredible creative talents but are genuinely good people too. Their craft, dedication and leadership on Pizza Hut and our other Client Partners have been world-class and the impact they have had on the team and the culture we are building at jnr. has been significant. I speak on behalf of all of us at jnr., we are pumped to have them on the team,” jnr. founder and managing director John Marshall added.
