The Hit Network has announced its summer line-up for 2023, kicking off on Monday, 4 December, featuring The Jimmy & Nath Show, Hamish & Andy podcast, Nights with Seany B and special return celebrations for Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
Hit’s cheeky radio duo Jimmy Smith and Nath Roye of The Jimmy & Nath Show will switch the night shift for the early alarm as they take on national Breakfast across Hit stations from 6-9 am weekdays from 4 December.
In true form, Jimmy and Nath will this year attempt to conquer another nation-wide challenge with Jimmy & Nath’s ‘Left Lieutenants’. Deeming ‘Left Lieutenant Day’ on 22 December, Jimmy and Nath are determined to get Aussie pedestrians to keep left when walking and finally put a stop to the awkward which-way shuffle!
It will be just like old times for the commute home thanks to the hilarious blend of wit, charm and touch of irreverence of Australia’s favourite podcasters, Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, when their reigning #1 podcast, Hamish & Andy, slides into the Drive slot nationally across Hit stations from 4-6 pm weekdays.
Championing the hottest new music and classic favourites we love for sizzling summer nights will be Hit Nights with Seany B, hosted by Sean Brown, which will air nationally from 6-10 pm. Nic Kelly will host nights throughout January.
Back for another year, the network’s Christmas feature, Hitmas, will return on Christmas Day hosted on the Hit Network with LiSTNR’s biggest talent and Aussie artists playing festive tunes for a day-long Christmas music feast.
Continuing the seasonal celebrations, the Hit Network will also broadcast a New Year’s Eve special, with more details to be announced soon.
“As we wrap another fantastic year, there’s no slowing down for the Hit Network; in fact we are just starting to heat things up with our summer programming,” said head of Hit metro content and 101.9 The Fox Content Director, Amanda Lee.
“It’s so exciting to have Jimmy and Nath on national Breakfast and we know everyone will love to hear even more from them over the next few weeks. Likewise, we’re always proud to bring the Hamish & Andy podcast back to radio for our listeners and it is fantastic to welcome back Seany B and Nic Kelly for the night-time shift. With this amazing line-up, summer can’t come quick enough”.
