In a first for the Australian insurance market, Club Marine, Australia’s largest provider of boat and pleasure-craft insurance, has released a new series of videos to help explain insurance cover.
With a few familiar Aussie personalities to help out, Club Marine is helping its members, as well as the broader boating community, to understand the ins and outs of cover for jet skis, wakeboats, runabout boats, sailboats and cruisers.

The videos are presented by water sports and fishing enthusiasts and gives viewers a glimpse into their favourite on-water activities. Russell Ingall, former V8 Supercar champion and two-time Bathurst winner, carves up Gold Coast waters on a jetski, while Aussie pro racing driver and seven-time V8 Supercar champion Jamie Whincup swaps Supercars for a wakesurfing session behind his wakeboat.
Al McGlashan, host of popular TV show Fishing with Mates, wets a line aboard his beloved runabout in Sydney Harbour to help clarify cover for his favourite type of boat: a runabout or a fishing boat.
Mark Richards, skipper of Wild Oats XI – one of Australia’s most recognisable yachts – takes viewers through sailboat insurance and Riviera Australia’s CEO, Wes Moxey, presents the Cruiser and Launch insurance video.
Based on member feedback that they want to better understand what is and what isn’t included in their insurance cover, Club Marine has risen to the challenge to demystify insurance policies for members. Along with these videos, they are committing to simplifying policy documents and renewal notices so that policy holders can clearly see what they are covered for.
Club Marine recognises that making insurance easy to understand is vital to forming a lasting and satisfying relationship with their members.
