IPG Mediabrands is reportedly the frontrunner to win Emirates Airlines’ global media account. The account is estimated to be worth as much as $US200 million annually.
UK industry site Campaign is reporting the world’s third biggest airline is set to announce a switch of agencies in the coming days.
B&T has contacted IPG Mediabrands in Australia for comment.
Havas is Emirates’ current media agency, having won the business back in 2014 and again having the account renewed in 2017.
According to reports, both Havas and WPP pitched for the business in a review that began last July.
It’s understood that IPG’s UM will handle the account.
A Havas Media Group spokesman told Campaign: “Over the last six years, Havas Media Group has enjoyed a tremendous partnership with Emirates.
“Our teams around the world are very proud of the growth that we have achieved together, and we wish them continued success and prosperity in the years to come.”
