Sydney independent experience agency DIJGTAL has welcomed two new hires. Tania Di Stefano (above right) from Saatchi & Saatchi and James David (above left) from George P. Johnson. Di Stefano will be joining as its content and communications strategist and David as its director, innovation and brand experience.
Di Stefano has been tasked with taking DIJGTAL’s content offering to the next level for both the agency and its portfolio of clients. She has over 12 years experience working client side (private and government) and agency side, with exposure to a range of industries including financial services, tourism, iGaming, retail, fintech, media and more. She has worked with leading brands like Destination NSW, St.George Bank and Betfair, formulating and executing content strategy that works efficiently across the entire digital ecosystem.
Di Stefano’s passion to create outstanding content experiences led her to launch some of Australia’s top performing Snapchat lenses and acquisition campaigns that smashed Australian benchmarks. These are now used by Snapchat as international examples of best practice.
Di Stefano said, “Saatchi provided me with invaluable experience and the chance to work with crazy talented people, I’ll always be thankful for my time there. The move to DIJGTAL gives me the opportunity to grow as a content strategist and refine my skills in creating best in class, branded human-led experiences, online and offline. There’s something special about DIJGTAL and where it’s headed. It’s an exciting time for the business and I’m thrilled I get to come along for the ride.”
David joins the DIJGTAL family to enhance their human-led approach by expanding the agency’s offering to a full-creative experience for their clients. In his role, David will help oversee DIJGTAL’s creative output and build momentum for the agency’s future.
David commented, “Departing an agency where the people are like family wasn’t easy, but the opportunity to help lead and create amazing work with an agency that lives and breathes culture was too good an opportunity to pass”.
In just under five years at George P. Johnson as their Senior Creative Director, David led them to be one of Australia’s most successful experiential agencies. Under hiscreative leadership, David built an award-winning creative and digital team. Together they collected numerous awards for creativity and data whilst also being named Campaign Asia’s Experiential Agency of the year, and on their first attempt, made the Australian Financial Review’s most innovative business list. David was instrumental in growing existing client IBM and bringing in new client wins with Yonex, Pepsi, Synergy, NAB, L’Oreal and Woodside.
Di Stefano and David complete the newly formed strategy unit with Director, Strategy & Partnerships Nick Gray.
Gray commented, “DIJGTAL is in an exciting phase of growth right now, we’re expanding further onto the international stage and to do that, we need to have the best minds in the business. Tania and James provide a vast amount of invaluable experience and energy that I’m confident will help propel DIJGTAL to the next stage of success.”
