It’s exciting times over at Network Ten, what with the teaser for The Bachelor hitting our telly’s last week, and now the unveiling of the newest leading lady for The Bachelorette.
Say hello to 27-year-old Georgia Love, a journalist who hails from Melbourne, Victoria, and who describes herself as “your girl next door”, with the perfect last name to go on a show like this as well.
Starting her career in regional Victoria, Love worked in news in Launceston and Melbourne before becoming a nightly news presenter for WIN News in Hobart.
“My whole life, I have put my job and career first but have always felt something has been missing. I’m now at a point where I’m happy with where I am at in my career and I’m ready to prioritise love,” she said.
Love reportedly quit her job as aforementioned newsreader in Hobart to go on the show, according to News Corp.
“Being on television for work and on television for this (Bachelorette) just wouldn’t have worked for either party so I’ve actually left my job,” Love told The Daily Telegraph.
Before becoming a journalist, the new Bachelorette worked as a trapeze artist in Malaysia, as well as being a dancer and dance teacher.
The fun-loving Melburnian is looking for someone who can make her laugh and who knows what he wants in life and isn’t afraid to go after it. She also loves long romantic walks on the beach (we’re just guessing).
“I want to find that one special person to share my life and all its ups and downs with. Going into this experience knowing I could walk away with the man of my dreams excites me so much, I can’t wait for this incredible new chapter,” she added.
Love will be looking for, well, love, with 18 eligible bachelors later this year on Ten and WIN Networks, however no word on an actual date just yet. Filming kicked off for the series on Sunday.
