Comms agency History Will Be Kind (HWBK) has won the communications for Godfreys in Australia and New Zealand, following a competitive pitch process.
The agency will be tasked with developing an integrated communications strategy spanning PR, influencers and creative content, to contemporise the brand, increase awareness, and drive in-store foot and online traffic, delivered via an always-on press office and creative campaigns.
The agency’s remit will include both consumer and corporate PR, to support Godfreys as it undergoes an exciting business and brand transformation, with a focus on revitalising the brand and its reputation amongst a wider and younger target audience.
Nathan Dixon, head of marketing at Godfreys, commented on the appointment, “Godfreys has been a trusted and much loved household name for 90 years. As we look towards the future we recognise there is a significant opportunity to enhance awareness and broaden the appeal of our offering in the ANZ market with both loyal and new customers”.
Dixon added, “HWBK is the perfect communications partner to help us achieve this ambition. The agency impressed us with not only strong consumer and corporate PR experience, but also smart and creative integrated thinking which will be so important as we enter an exciting new phase for the brand. We are thrilled to welcome them on board as an extension of our team.”
History Will Be Kind’s founder and managing Partner, Emma-Jane Granleese said, “Godfreys is at a pivotal moment in their business journey, and we knew we had to be part of this new chapter and their exciting brand transformation”.
“Their innovative solutions, level of expertise and dedication to customer service really resonated for us at HWBK and we feel strength in the opportunities that are present within the ANZ market. We are very excited to be working with Nathan and the wider team, and of course, to help them make history!”.
