While B&T won’t officially begin its TV wrap until the end of January, as keen readers will know, we love a good Karl story, which is where this morning’s news comes in.
Tuesday morning was the official second day of Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon as Today‘s newest breakfast hosts.
And, while Monday showed the duo were off to a solid start, Tuesday saw the gap between competitors Today and Sunrise close even further.
A mere 46,000 metro viewers separated Today (220,000) and Sunrise (266,000) according to OzTAM metro numbers, while Today topped viewership across the Sydney (74,000) and Brisbane (58,000) markets. In Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, however, Sunrise was the clear winner with 64,000, 34,000 and 45,000 viewers respectively.
As per usual, Seven came out on top for the night with the most watched news program (924,000), while 10’s I’m A Celeb… continues to do well (737,000).
Looking at overall audience share for the night, Seven (27.2 per cent ) narrowly pipped Nine (27.0 per cent), while 10 did well on 21.3 per cent, with the ABC pulling 16.8 per cent and SBS on 8.9 per cent.
Stayed tuned as B&T‘s official TV wrap returns soon.
