Greg “Sparrow” Graham Promoted To Group Marketing Director Of WPP AUNZ

Long-serving GroupM executive of 28 years Greg Graham is taking on additional duties in an expanded role that sees him step into the newly created role of group marketing director of WPP AUNZ, while also continuing in his current post at GroupM Australia.

In the dual role, Graham will split his time equally between GroupM’s North Sydney offices and parent company WPP AUNZ’s campus at Kent Street, Millers Point.

At WPP AUNZ, Australasia’s leading marketing content and communications group, Graham will report to group business director Rob Currie on marketing and new business opportunities across the group.

With a career spanning more than 35 years, Graham is one of the most experienced and respected executives in the Australian media industry. He is currently serving as chairman of the Media Federation of Australia (MFA) Awards, executive coach with The Marketing Academy Australia, mentor at Cannes Lions and was recently named LinkedIn’s No 1 Agency Influencer in Australia.

Rob Currie said: “We’re incredibly lucky to have someone with Greg’s extensive new business and marketing expertise. He knows this business inside out and his valuable insights will benefit all our WPP AUNZ companies. I look forward to working with him to pursue even greater growth opportunities for the group.”

GroupM Australia & NZ CEO Mark Lollback added: “Greg has always been an invaluable asset to GroupM and we’re happy to share his skills and knowledge with our parent company WPP AUNZ. He is great at bringing people together and uniting businesses towards a single goal, and I have no doubt he will be able to bring a greater degree of horizontality to WPP AUNZ as it continues to lead the market across a range of disciplines.”

Graham’s new role begins in January 2017.
