One of the founding couples of reality TV show Gogglebox are set to take their living room off-air at the end of the current season.
Wayne Mott and Tom Walsh are a Melbourne couple who have featured on the show – a Ten and Foxtel co-production – since the first season aired in 2015, and it looks like the eighth season will be their last.
Speaking on Joy FM podcast Word for Word last week, Walsh revealed he and Mott had “about three more [episodes] left” before they were “out of contract”.
“I’ve had a lot of fun, and I think it’s just time. Me and Wayne are ready to retire. We’re ready to buy a farm and go bush,” Walsh told interviewer Benjamin Norris.
B&T has contacted Ten for comment, while a Foxtel spokesperson said: “We are currently in discussions regarding next season.”
