Such is Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi’s escalating fame, Netflix has made an “intimate, all-access documentary” about the 26-year-old called How I’m Feeling Now to be released April 5.
However, to promote the doco, Netflix’s marketing team has dredged up an old gag that’s left Capaldi far from impressed.
There’s a joke doing the rounds that Capaldi looks very similar to a younger version of former British prime minister Liz Truss who managed just 49 days in office last year before being shown the door.
At the time, Capaldi said: “Why do I look like so many female politicians?” Images of the two then became a massive joke and meme amongst the singer’s fans.
Now Netflix has jumped in on the gag and is promoting Capaldi’s doco via various digital out of home screens but using Truss’ image instead.
On Twitter, Capaldi attached two photos of the electronic billboard and wrote, “FFS whoever is in charge of the billboards at Netflix needs firing.”

Netflix UK and Ireland responded, “I had a good run.”
Images of the prank billboard have now been viewed almost five million times. And, thankfully, most social media users saw the funny side, too. Check out some of the reactions below:
