Macquarie Centre has announced Aussie model and fashionista Elyse Knowles has become the centre’s first official ambassador since the fashion destination completed a $440 million redevelopment in October 2014.

As part of her new role, Knowles will play a part in the creative direction of the Macquarie Centre Spring Summer fashion launch on August 27, having this week been involved in a model casting session to hand-pick talent who will walk in the spring summer fashion show.

Knowles will be joined by Vogue Australia creative consultants and fashion bloggers, Tanja G (My Empirical Life) and Talisa Sutton (Badlands), who are also involved in the planning of the show.

Macquarie Centre is excited to be welcoming the trio of influencers just in time for spring summer, with senior marketing manager, Emma Giammarco, stating: “At Macquarie Centre we are focused on leading the way in fashion for the upcoming spring summer season, and working with Elyse is a perfect expression of this as when it comes to fashion she personifies style and leadership. It’s also fantastic to have the opportunity to work with Tanja and Talisa who between them bring so much creativity and style expertise to the team.”

The trio teamed up for the first time this week at the Macquarie Centre model casting for the centre’s spring summer fashion launch later this month. Knowles said of the experience, “It was so fun to be involved in the casting, we saw some gorgeous guys and girls who will inject the show with fun personality and edge. I am thrilled to be working with Macquarie Centre and can’t wait to attend the show and see the upcoming collections from amazing retailers such as Scanlan Theodore, Alice McCall and Willow.”

The fashion show on August 27 will feature the upcoming trends for spring summer which range from dark florals to optical art, and provide something for everyone. Also expect to see a return of the 70s with a strong use of terracotta and mustard tones, vintage-feel suede and leather textures and bold accessories.

The event will launch Macquarie Centre’s Lead the Way campaign, which will position the centre as the first place for everything fashion.
