There is less than two weeks remaining to register for Pitch2Punch 2016. Scores of creatives, suits, planners, buyers and media providers from across Sydney’s media and marketing landscape have already applied, including B&T’s very own ring master, David Hovenden. So if you’ve ever fancied the opportunity of going toe-to-toe with our editor in chief without a pen in your hand, this is your chance.
It will no doubt be your only chance. And if Hovenden can throw his hat in the ring for a worthy cause, so can you.
Pitch2Punch is the media and marketing industry’s biggest corporate challenge, culminating in one of the most prestigious events in the industry’s social calendar. Over 11 weeks, 20 industry champions will complete an intensive training programme and step into the ring for an amateur boxing bout, in front of 600 of their industry peers, colleagues, family and friends. One of those bona fide, pugilistic champions could be you. Any age, any level of fitness and any rung on the corporate ladder can apply.

Pitch2Punch is the brainchild of Gareth Eden-Styche, owner of Shambles Communications. When asked about the premise of the event Gareth said: “Pitch2Punch is an incredible journey and experience, culminating in the most remarkable, memorable event. And it’s probably the most fun you can have while standing on two legs.”
Pitch2Punch 2015 competitors are full of praise for the event:
“The greatest fitness and mental challenge I have ever done. An awesome experience, with awesome people, culminating in one of the best nights of my life. Man-up and sign up; you won’t regret it!” Darren Collins, Pitch2Punch 2015 Industry Champion.
“Pitch2Punch 2015 was a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget. There were a couple of tears and minor injuries, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. If you get the opportunity give it a shot, you will not regret it.” Hilary Bryce, Pitch2Punch 2015 Industry Champion (fight of the night).
Competitors commit to three weekly, professionally administered boxing training sessions and one-on-one training sessions, reaching peak physical performance and achieving the unthinkable; a fully sanctioned amateur boxing bout at one of the best nights of their lives.
Taking place on Friday 8 July 2016 at the Royal Randwick Racecourse Ballroom, the 4th annual Pitch2Punch will once again provide support for beyondblue; the national depression and anxiety initiative, while raising awareness of the issues associated to anxiety and depression. To date, Pitch2Punch has raised over $40,000 for beyondblue and helped raise awareness of the issues associated to anxiety and depression across our whole industry.
If you’ve ever thought about pushing your corporate boundaries, here is your chance. You’ve done the pitching, not do the punching. Become an Industry Champion. REGISTER TODAY
