Digital out-of-home vendor JACmedia has expanded its inventory to 650 screens across 400 apartment towers in a strategic partnership with Habitat Channel.
The network generates more than three million weekly impressions and reaches over 150,000 Australians – and is on target for at least 700 screens by the end of the year.
JACmedia co-founders Julian Duggan, Adrian Musico and Bianca Musico blend property, energy, audio visual infrastructure, advertising and creative strategy smarts to help run the business.
JACmedia has also just appointed BrandSpace’s Dhriti Naik as its first dedicated sales account manager. She was previously at oOh!media and JCDecaux.
On the appointment Bianca Musico, co-founder and head of operations said “Dhriti’s drive, enthusiasm and proven track record is a wonderful addition to the team as our first sales hire.
“We’ve grown fivefold in six months, and with a growing pipeline and blue-chip client base, Dhriti marks the shift from network building to commercial growth.
“We’re excited about the future.”
Currently, advertisers can book directly or programmatically on the screens, from residential lobbies, reaching people where they live, and are adding more buildings to the portfolio.
The combined network is sold directly and also represented by OA Collective, and recent campaigns including Disney+, Doordash, TPG, The Iconic and Care Pharmaceuticals ‘Little’ brand.
“Partnering with JACmedia brings our networks together at scale, creating a stronger proposition for advertising clients and helping establish residential media as a recognised channel in its own right,” said Habitat Channel CEO Mark Epstein.
Musico said the network growth is one aspect and as it adds more commercial buildings to the network, the trio are developing “JACtivations” to connect with residents beyond the screens.
Wellness brands could be activated across state-of-the-art gyms, sampling stations for FMCGs in shared common areas like rooftops, and auto brands can bring the showroom directly to customers’ car parks.
“The creative opportunity around activating at home is particularly exciting,” added Musico.
“This will help brands take the next step connecting what residents see on screen in their own residential buildings with useful, memorable experiences from their own amenities.
“We saw the opportunity from day one but questioned whether we had enough scale for national campaigns. Now that scale piece has been answered.”
