Digital agency Magic has added significant firepower to its leadership team by announcing the appointments of Tom Glover to the newly created role of head of SEO and Patrick Robotham (main image) to the newly created role of head of signal.
Glover has been tasked with further applying the agency’s existing mathematical and data-modelling skills, to help create unique, cutting-edge SEO strategies for clients.
Robotham’s primary remit will be to evolve how Australian brands use and store data, using mathematics to interpret, connect and analyse it.
Jordan Taylor-Bartels, co-founder and managing director at Magic, said “Having outstanding people on our team is what makes the magic. We are thrilled to have found this dynamic duo, who not only understand our vision as an agency, but whose combined expertise means we have the ability to push beyond the traditional, by combining mathematics, data, creativity and media to create best-in-class client work.”
Hailing from the UK, Glover’s 10-year SEO & Outreach career includes a successful tenure as head of SEO at DigitalNext Australia and prior to that, leading the SEO team at DigitalNext in London.
With a demonstrated history of working in online marketing, he brings cutting-edge, scale-able SEO practice, and it is underpinned by a solid mathematics and data foundation to Magic.
Glover’s skills and capabilities encompass Technical SEO, On-Page Optimization, Off-Page SEO, E-commerce SEO, SEO Audits, SEO Copywriting and Content Marketing, supported by strong mathematical and data foundations.
Robotham’s passion for turning data into useful products to help consumers has been built on a stellar career, including leadership positions managing complex attribution modelling at Nimble to machine-learning building at Linktree.
At Magic, he is tasked with managing the agency’s ever-growing commitment to change how Australian brands use and store data, by using mathematics to interpret, connect and analyse data.
Shahram Ghaffurian, co-founder and head of media and technology at Magic said: “As clients’ needs change and channels such as TikTok continue to gain traction; Twitter is being reconsidered as a channel, and cookies are taking shape across the majority of iOS devices, it’s the perfect time to have Patrick join the team and solidify this capability into a department chartered with asking and answering new questions for clients each and every week.
“We welcome both Patrick and Tom to our leadership team.”
Both appointments are effective immediately.
