DDB Sydney has supercharged its creative department with the recent additions of eight new hires!
Andrew Torrisi (senior creative), Nicole Yeoman (senior art director), Allie Steel (senior copywriter), Madeleine Purdy (art director), Lucy Hay (copywriter), Camille Bui Viet (copywriter), Sean Vrabel (copywriter) and Alex Collares (art director).
Torrisi has joined as a senior creative from TBWA Sydney, where he spent nearly seven years working on accounts including Amazon, Tourism New Zealand, and HCF. This month, he was named an AWARD School Tutor of the Year.
Creative team Yeoman and Steel previously worked at M&C Saatchi. Steel also spent three years at BBDO New York, and is representing Australia at Cannes Lions’ See It Be It program, an initiative in partnership with Spotify that aims to achieve equal gender representation of Creative Directors and leaders across the global industry.
Yeoman’s career began in Auckland, where she worked at a number of agencies, including Y&R New Zealand and Republik.
Art director Purdy started out working in reality TV before stints at agencies including Leo Burnett and Clemenger BBDO Sydney. Bui Viet joined from Clemenger BBDO Sydney, and has also spent time at Digitas and The Iconic, while Hay spent almost five years at Ogilvy Sydney.
Vrabel and Collares also joined earlier in the year after stints at agencies including Ogilvy and The Works.
DDB, Sydney executive creative director Matt Chandler, said: “We’ve brought a bunch of legends into our creative department recently. I couldn’t be happier. Allie, Nicole, Andrew, Madeleine, Camille, Lucy, Alex and Sean all easily pass the talented and nice test – I know they’ll do brilliant stuff here at DDB.”
