Australian Radio Network (ARN) has announced the appointment of Mason Rook to the role of commercial director.
Rook will be responsible for leading ARN’s Sydney and Brisbane commercial teams, and will report to the company’s chief commercial officer, Emma-Jayne Owens.
He brings more than 15 years’ media experience in TV and digital sales to ARN from his roles with the Seven Network, ninemsn/Mi9.
Most recently, Rook was the commercial director at The Daily Mail, where he led sales strategy, marketing and commercialisation for the brand in the Australian market.
Owens said Rook has been a successful commercial leader for over 15 years within traditional and digital media owners.
“He brings a wealth of passion, energy and experience to ARN at a time when we are transforming our business,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to working with him again as he joins ARN’s commercial leadership team.”
Commenting on his appointment, Rook said he was delighted to be joining ARN.
“As [the] market leader in audio with ambitious plans for the years ahead, the prospect of leading the Sydney and Brisbane commercial teams and being part of the next stage in the evolution of the business is an incredible opportunity,” he said.
Rook will commence his new role at ARN in early January.
