Independent media agency D3 has secured the Vitaco media account in New Zealand following a competitive pitch.
The appointment sees D3 take responsibility for media strategy, planning, buying, analytics and data technology across Vitaco’s portfolio of brands, including Healtheries, Musashi, Nutra-Life and Athena.
Vitaco is an Australasian health and wellness business that markets a portfolio of brands spanning supplements, sports nutrition, snacks and teas.
Vitaco selected D3 following a competitive review process, with the agency’s independent operating model and senior-led delivery identified as key differentiators.
“We were looking for a media partner that could manage a diverse portfolio, navigate an increasingly complex media landscape and challenge our thinking to help elevate the impact our brands have with consumers,” said Simon Cheape, head of marketing at Vitaco.
“Throughout the pitch, D3 brought an insightful, clear and commercially grounded approach. Their combination of strategic capability, innovative spirit and senior involvement gave us confidence they were the right fit for where we want to take the business next.”
Alex Radford, co-founder and partner at D3, said brands are becoming more deliberate about the agency models they engage.
“Businesses have more choice than ever before, but they’re also under more pressure to deliver results. That’s driving a greater focus on finding partners who can provide clear thinking, commercial alignment and genuine accountability.
“Vitaco has built some of the strongest brands in the category and established a market position that’s been earned over time. The business has strong momentum behind it, an ambitious outlook and a portfolio that’s continuing to evolve. We’re looking forward to working alongside the team and helping support the next chapter of growth.”
