Curiious, the Immersive Learning and Engagement Company, has appointed Nicole Doukas (pictured) to the newly-created role of Head of Growth as the company continues its diversification from a content agency to a full immersive learning and engagement company.

In addition, Michelle Schuberg has been promoted from General Manager to Managing Director to oversee the new direction for the organisation.

Doukas joins Curiious most recently from the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade). As Austrade’s Project Manager and Senior Marketing Advisor of Australia’s Nation Brand, Doukas was charged with co-creating and leading the development and implementation of the go-to-market plans with Federal Government agencies, as well as with States and Territories and select Industries, among other significant brand adoption responsibilities.

Prior to her role at Austrade, Doukas worked with Telstra Enterprise for more than six years in a number of roles including as Head of Demand Generation, Telstra Vantage Program and Marketing Lead and General Manager of Alliances and Partnerships Marketing.

“We are incredibly excited to bring someone of Nicole’s caliber and expertise to Curiious as we look towards exponential growth in the coming months and years,” said Schuberg. “The pandemic has been tough on every organisation in Australia in some way and we are no exception, but it’s offered us the opportunity to develop new revenue streams and continue to develop our incredible immersive tech-led offering.

“Nicole’s appointment validates everything we are doing, and we can’t wait for Nicole to get started on helping us grow further.”

Doukas said the company’s unique and compelling world-leading offerings in immersive communication and learning, as well as its recent successes in implementing its solutions in schools and enterprises across the globe, were what attracted her to the role.

“I’ve watched many technology companies emerge in Australia and Internationally and not many can lay claim to having a portfolio of world-first technology solutions the way Curiious has with its Curiious Pro platforms,” said Doukas.

“There are significant opportunities emerging in the education, supply chain, technology and healthcare sectors. I’m excited to be joining Michelle and the Curiious team at a time when we’ve all had to redefine the new norm and find new ways of doing business, delivering training or keeping our customers and people engaged. Immersive learning and engagement solutions developed by Curiious will set the standard for new benchmarks in learning and I’m excited to be part of the team who can make that possible on home turf and internationally.”
