New Zealand advertising agency Colenso BBDO are celebrating their big win for their “Phone It In” campaign.
The victorious campaign was created for Auckland telecommunications company Skinny, New Zealand.
Taking home the Radio & Audio Lions Grand Prix, an award that celebrates creativity geared towards sound, Colenso BBDO beat 715 entries of which 22 Lions were awarded: three Gold, seven Silver, and 11 Bronze Lions.
The team shared their joy with a playful post on LinkedIn:
“Skinny will do anything to keep prices low so we’ve borrowed @Special_groups PR photo and are now drinking Lindauer in the agency car park to celebrate winning a Cannes Lion Radio Grand Prix. Congrats to them. And us. And Skinny. And us. Get the Skinny!”
The agency were referring to the triumph of fellow Kiwis, Special New Zealand, who took home the Health & Wellness Lion Grand Prix for their ‘The Last Performance’ campaign, for Partners Life.
As reported on Little Black Book, Special founder and CEO, Tony Bradbourne, said: “To win at Cannes is one thing, but to walk away with a Grand Prix is truly humbling.
“Our name is a promise that everything that goes out the door must be ‘special’, and twelve months ag we challenged ourselves to create something so ‘special’ it would win a Cannes Grand Prix – proving once again that creativity from the edge of the world can shine on the world stage.
“Congratulations to everyone involved, especially our brave and adventurous clients for believing in the power of creativity.”
