Clemenger BBDO Sydney Awarded Brookvale Union Creative Account

Clemenger BBDO Sydney has been appointed to the creative account for Australia’s No.1 alcoholic ginger beer brand, Brookvale Union.

Clemenger BBDO will develop a new creative platform for the largest alcoholic ginger beer brand in Australia. After launching with ginger beer in 2013, Brookvale Union has expanded into the resurgent ready-to-drink (RTD) category with the launch of Spiced Rum & Lime Ginger Beer and Vodka & Peach Iced Tea over the past two years.

The new creative brand platform will leverage the brand’s unique positioning, ‘quality nonsense’: While everything inside each can and bottle is quality, everything outside it is nonsense, so great tasting drinks can be enjoyed while pressing pause on a super serious world and having fun for fun’s sake.

“The team at Clemenger have been awesome to work with on this project – we have thrown the rule book out the window and are having some fun. The outcomes promise to be very entertaining and will lift Brookvale Union’s profile significantly in trade and amongst our consumers,” said Todd Atkinson, Chief Marketing Officer.

Pete Bosilkovski, CEO Clemenger BBDO Sydney, said: “Brookvale Union doesn’t just produce exceptionally refreshing drinks – it does so with an exceptionally refreshing brand attitude. The opportunity to work on an epic, fun brand, and marketing team with bold ambitions is exciting. We are thrilled to be partnering with Todd Atkinson and the Brookvale Union team to bring the brand’s purpose of ‘quality nonsense’ to the market.”
