Chrissie Swan Loses Her Voice After Logies Weekend But Hosts The Project Anyway

If there’s one thing we love at B&T, it’s a star turning up to work after The Logies a little worse for wear, and Chrissie Swan delivered in spades.

Swan turned up to The Project yesterday and had lost her voice! Yes, Swan attempted to anchor a news show, with barely any voice left. She appeared on the show like she was Ariel from The Little Mermaid and honestly it was a vibe.

Swan explained: “Look, full disclosure! Whenever I have a very good time, I generally lose my voice. I thought I’d gotten away with it, I did my breakfast radio show this morning, and then it just stopped working,”

This meant that Swan spent the rest of the show jumping in only very carefully as she’d mostly lost her voice and relied on using facial expressions to convey her emotions.  It was hilarious, a little bit sad and something that would only happen on Aussie television.

Sure, it wasn’t exactly up there with Karl Stefanovic’s infamous antics after The Logies in 2009, but it was something!

Naturally, Twitter weighed in on it.

Swan is handling the desk while Carrie Bickmore is on leave and she’s clearly prepared to turn up, rain, hail or with no voice!
