To celebrate World EV Day and address a growing consumer demand for information on electric vehicles, carsales has launched a dedicated electric car hub for ‘Everything You Auto Know on EVs’.
The destination went live today and champions carsales’ growing electric vehicle footprint including new electric cars for sale, electric vehicle advice and buying guides and independent reviews of battery, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
“carsales is Australia’s ‘Everything you Auto know’ destination and that goes for electric cars as well,” carsales Australia MD Ajay Bhatia said.
“Australian consumers are increasingly curious about electric vehicles and what role they can play in their lives. We believe we have a responsibility to give consumers the information they need to understand electric vehicles and their relative benefits and potential challenges.”
“Many of the world’s key car brands have committed to going all-electric – and soon. carsales wants to be an active partner with manufacturers, car dealers, charging networks and consumers as this transformation toward electric vehicles takes place.”
The new hub can be accessed directly from carsales main navigation and includes electric car data, independent reviews, pricing guides and buying advice. As the destination evolves, interactive tools and manufacturer-sourced content will be added.
“There’s significant momentum in the electric car space. Our recent study, Moving EV Forward, cements an uptake in Aussies’ interest in EVs and highlights consumer consideration, adoption of EVs and a gap in the market for affordable body types,” Bhatia continued.
Consumers are looking to carsales for EV-specific content and this is a growing market.
carsales’ role will be to educate and offer advice to improve consumers’ understanding around EV adoption. In addition to launching the carsales Electric Car hub on World EV Day, carsales also announced the winner of its inaugural Best EV Award, the Tesla Model 3.
Focusing on the affordable end of the EV spectrum, the award mega-test put eight electric car contenders head to head to determine the overall winner.
