Carat Australia Retains Top Spot In RECMA’s Media Agency Rankings

Carat Australia has again taken out the top spot as Australia’s largest media agency network by billings, according to RECMA’s annual Overall Activity Volume Report for 2016.

Carat topped the rankings for the second consecutive year, beating out its nearest competitors, OMD and Mediacom, with an industry share of 13.1 per cent.

The agency’s market-leading position was consolidated over the course of 2016 with several new business wins, including Greenstone, Stratco and APT, and key client retentions, including Murray Goulburn, AustralianSuper, Bob Jane, and the Western Australian government.

Paul Brooks (pictured above), CEO of Carat for Australia and New Zealand, said the ranking was a clear indication of the agency’s drive and consistent momentum.

“It’s fantastic to have taken out the top spot for a second year,” he said.

“Our focus has been, and continues to be, first and foremost on delivering market-leading service, products, and innovation to our suite of valued clients. It’s our shared success that keeps Carat at the top of its game.”

The report, conducted annually, takes into consideration overall agency billings, staff headcount, and year-on-year growth rate.

Globally, Carat has been named RECMA’s top network every year since 2013.
