B&T’s 30 Under 30 Awards, presented by Vevo, will crown the future leaders of the advertising, marketing and media industries in March 2026—and one of them could be you!

On-time entries close on 30 January, while late entries will close on 6 February.

Whether you’re already in a leadership position or just starting your career, these awards champion individuals who make it their mission to contribute excellence to their current roles, while showing a relentless drive to advance their careers.

These awards recognise that everyone starts somewhere, but that the road to leadership is paved during these early days.

If you’ve forgotten the entry requirements and categories, let us quickly refresh your memory.

There are ten categories to enter, with three outstanding individuals in each category earning the title of winner.

Our headline partner, Vevo, will also bestow a Grand Prix Award to one exceptional talent, while all finalists will compete for the People’s Choice Award, determined by public vote after entries close. To enter, you’ll need to create a nomination video no longer than two minutes, and submit an employer reference no longer than 300 words. All of this can be found in one place.

The categories are: Agency Account Management, Agency Sales, Creative, Entrepreneur, Marketing and Communications, Media Planner / Buyer, Media Sales / Account Management, Project Manager, Strategy and Tech.

B&T has spoken to past winners for some words of inspiration and advice.

Last year’s PR winner Matthew Evans’s told B&T: “Never wait to be asked. If you have ideas, energy, and curiosity, put your hand up and get involved; some of the most impactful projects I have worked on have emerged from initially messy thoughts.

“Second, prioritise building genuine relationships. Many of my best opportunities stemmed from authentic connections forged over coffee, shared challenges, or simply pushing past discomfort to say hi. PR is a deeply human industry, and empathy, curiosity, and vulnerability will always be more valuable than any tactic or tool,” he told B&T.

Winner of last year’s Creative category, Lachlan Rotherham, encourages entrants to just say: “fuck it”.

“Cliche I know, but you really do just have to go for it. Embrace the cringe, but also try to surround yourself with other like-minded people that inspire you. They’re the ones that will push you, challenge you and encourage you to do crazy things… like put on a dress and play a character that’s also your date at a restaurant for a 30 Under 30 entry video”.

Winner of last year’s Agency Sales/Account Management category Arielle Selva encourages entrants to take risks and experiment.

“My main piece of advice is to truly embrace the fact that we have all the time in the world right now. Especially when you’re just starting out, there’s no need to rush toward perfection or worry about failure. Instead, focus on being active: try things, be brave, and take action,” she said.

“This is the time to learn quickly. That means putting yourself out there and being willing to make mistakes, because that’s where the most valuable learning comes from. Essentially, my advice is: Now is the best time to experiment. Don’t hold back; be proactive, and let your curiosity lead the way.”

Jazmaree Bell, certified overachiever and winner of the Media Planner/Buyer category, advises hopeful winners to bring your whole self to the table.

“Bring more than just your media skills to the table. Your passions, values and interests are your biggest assets to invoke new thinking and change. I believe the best leaders are ones who lead authentically, because that’s what builds meaningful connections and creates better outcomes for their teams, clients and the industry as a whole.

“Put your hand up for new challenges and seek opportunities to make your workplace and wider community better. Be proactive about your growth and don’t wait for opportunities to come your way, create your own.

“And remember, leadership isn’t defined by title or tenure. Every voice matters. You don’t have to be the loudest in the room to make an impact. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is ask, “What if we tried this?”
