Cairns Crocodiles, presented by Pinterest, is to set sail with a spectacular series of super-exclusive yacht events.
Disney Advertising and Mutinex have been announced as the first partners for the nautical extravaganzas with their events.
On Monday 11 May, before the event formally kicks off on Tuesday, Disney Advertising will host guests on its yacht activation. The VIP sail is part of the Cairns Extra series of events and gives early arrivals a sun-drenched, salt-sprayed welcome before the conference officially commences at 10am the next day.
End-to-end marketing mix modelling platform Mutinex will take to the water on Wednesday 13 May, ensuring guests soak up sharp thinking, good company and even better ocean views.
“It’s fantastic to bring the super yachts back to Cairns!” said Rosie Oakshott, managing director, B&T and Cairns Crocodiles. “There’s no better way to experience the beauty of Tropical North Queensland than aboard a luxury yacht. It’s not just the conference program that is set to be bigger and more dynamic for 2026, but the Cairns Extra events slated for next year also give attendees more touchpoints and more energy than any year before.”

From bespoke breakfasts and intimate gatherings to VIP dinners and the official Pinterest Welcome Party, Cairns Extra events are the experiences that orbit the three-day conference. They do not take place at the same time as the conference content, but are before or after the sessions, or during lunch.
“Cairns Extra is where ideas spark, relationships grow and the festival spirit spills across the city,” Oakshott added.
“It’s not just inside the Cairns Conference Centre and Hemingway’s, powered by News Australia, but some of these unique events is where the magic, the deals and friendships happen.”
Only full ticket holders can apply for participation in Cairns Extra and all Cairns Extra are overseen by Cairns Crocodiles.
“We know there were a few cheeky pop-up events last year outside of Cairns Crocodiles, but we really need the industry to get behind this homegrown event and work with us, and in particular, not host events that clash with our world class on-stage content,” Cairns Crocodiles head honcho and Misfits Media (the business behind Cairns Crocodiles and B&T) co-founder David Hovenden.
The yacht parties sit alongside other Cairns Extra events such as the legendary Pinterest Welcome Party on Tuesday 12 May, Hemingway’s ‘Happy Hour’, powered by News Australia from Tuesday-Thursday, News Australia Pub Trivia on Wednesday 13 and Cairns Crocodiles Closing Party on Thursday 14.
More Cairns Extra events have already been locked in, spanning rooftops, bars, bayside venues, secret spaces and late-night favourites across Cairns. Expect curated breakfasts, networking lunches, VIP dining experiences and after-hours gatherings as the Extra program expands into a full city-wide creative takeover.
“The 2026 ramp-up is a direct response to audience demand,” Oakshott said.
“People want more connection points, more creative energy and more unexpected moments — and that’s exactly what Cairns Extra delivers.”
As well as the luxury yacht on Monday, Boomtown will host a cocktail soirée at Sails on the sweeping Cairns waterfront, StackAdapt and Criteo will run exclusive lunches and News Australia will host a VIP dinner at Floriana boutique hotel — with more events to be announced.
