Cadbury has launched a new film which shows how even the smallest gesture can bring a smile to someone who needs it.
The latest spot shows a little boy travelling home on the bus with his mum, clutching a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk he’s been told to save for later. He tries to distract himself but then notices a distressed teenage girl nearby.
The story concludes with a simple, unexpected act of kindness from our little boy, uncertain at first, but eventually offering his bar to the girl. Demonstrating there really is a glass and a half in everyone.
The campaign is launching in Australia from Sunday 10th May across TV, VOD, Online and Social. The 30 second ad was created by VCCP and once again directed by Fréderic Planchon (who previously directed “Mum’s birthday”).
Anthony Ho, Brand Equity Director, Chocolate & Biscuits, ANZ at Mondelēz International said, “Cadbury Dairy Milk is something generations of Australian families have grown up with. So our new advert is for everyone, reminding them of the big meaning even the smallest acts of kindness can have.”
Darren Bailes, ECD for VCCP added, “We’ve all been there – on a bus or a train and seen someone sad and upset. Most of the time we look away, minding our own business. But the generous hearted amongst us know better. This film tells that story. We are incredibly proud of this work.”
