Australia’s largest privately owned transit media supplier, GoTransit Media Group, now offers unprecedented options for transit advertising in Newcastle – on both land and sea following their successful tender to supply interior advertising inside the popular Stockton Ferries.
The national transit media company is already well acquainted with the thriving NSW market, having successfully operated the Newcastle bus advertising since June 2017 and light rail advertising from October 2018.
GoTransit Media Group Director of Sales Kirrily Hirst said the business recently added interior advertising to its light rail portfolio, on top of its exterior tram wraps – in a further boost to transit media choice in Newcastle. “These options give advertisers a rare opportunity to own the Out Of Home landscape in Newcastle with dominant advertising that moves in high frequency and large format through the city’s most populated precincts”.
“Our interior advertising packages include a total of 39 panels per tram, an unavoidable mix of ceiling, wall and floor placements which are destined to engage and captive commuter audiences”.
“Newcastle light rail patronage currently averages around 2,700 trips per day, with transit advertising achieving an estimated 842,000 weekly impressions, 134,000 weekly reach and a CPM of $2.96,” Kirrily said.
The Stockton Ferry operates seven days a week with two vessels that connect the northern suburb of Stockton to Newcastle City. Popular with tourists and commuters wanting to avoid the otherwise 30-minute drive, the ferry boasts an average patronage of 1,300 trips per day or 40,000 passengers per month.
GoTransit’s ferry advertising offers 10 interior panels per vessel and includes wall and floor placements.
