Former Telstra and IAG marketing chief Brent Smart has launched a CMO Advisory to provide c-suite executives with “the sort of advice I wish I had as a CMO”.
Smart, who left Telstra after four years in March, said that his advisor B.Smart will offer brand strategy and creative effectiveness advice mentoring to first-time CMOs or aspiring marketing leaders, keynotes to inspire marketeers and pitch advice to agencies.
“Not decks, but hands on advice, from a proven CMO who has transformed legacy, complex brands and made them Grand Prix and Grand Effie winning, see Telstra and NRMA Insurance,” Smart wrote in a LinkedIn post.
The brand design for Smart’s new business was created by Bear Meets Eagle on Fire, the creative minds behind Telstra’s recent award-winning campaigns.
Smart has been a regular in B&T’s CMO Power List in recent years with Telstra widely regarded as one of the most creative advertisers in Australia under his watch.
