Nova’s Adelaidean lads, Ben and Liam, have announced they will host the station’s upcoming summer breakfast show.
Nova’s Summer Breakfast with Ben & Liam will run for two weeks from Monday 6 December, while other breakfast teams across the country take a break.
The program continues the duo’s celebrated Nova breakfast gig, a timeslot they’ve filled since January 2020.
Prior to this, Ben and Liam worked at Adelaide’s Fresh 92.7 community radio station, after which they hosted Triple J’s national breakfast show.
The duo were recognised as the 2018 Industry Observer Awards’ Radio Hosts of the Year, and have since made name for themselves broadcasting live suspended from a billboard, spending five days locked in a glass box in Rundle Mall to raise awareness for mental health issues, and kayaking 11 nautical miles to Kangaroo Island.
Ben and Liam said, “Summer in Australia means three things to us – sunburn, pretending to like cricket and hosting Nova’s summer breakfast show. The best time of the year!”
NOVA Entertainment chief programming and marketing officer, Paul Jackson, was equally enthusiastic about the new appointment.
“With the duo heard nationally on Sunday breakfast and a new daily lunch time hour heard in Sydney and Melbourne, the boys are looking forward to entertaining listeners over summer,” he said.
“Ben and Liam are talented broadcasters, and we can’t wait to share their engaging and compelling content with audiences across Australia in the lead up to Christmas.”
Nova’s Summer Breakfast with Ben & Liam can be heard across the country from 6am to 9am AEST weekdays, from Monday 6 December to Friday 17 December
