Australia Wins Seven Grand Prix Awards At Spikes Asia

The Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity closed last night with a highly anticipated Awards Show honouring the very best work from across Asia-Pacific’s branded communications industry in 2019. Australia secured seven Grand Prix wins and one went to New Zealand. 

TBWA\Melbourne was awarded the Design Grand Prix and the Outdoor Grand Prix for ANZ ‘Signs of Love’ created with Revolver/Will O’Rourke.

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne took out the Digital Grand Prix and the Integrated Grand Prix for Myer ‘Naughty or Nice Bauble’.

Revolver/Will O’Rourke and DDB Sydney won the Print & Outdoor Craft Grand Prix for Foxtel ‘Grave of Thrones’.

Special Group Sydney with media agency MediaCom Sydney took out the Media Grand Prix at Spikes for Uber Eats ‘Australian Open Ambush’ via Revolver/Will O’Rourke.

And CHE Proximity Melbourne secured the Mobile Grand Prix award for NRMA ‘Safety Hub’.

Clemenger BBDO Auckland were awarded the Music Grand Prix for DB Breweries ‘I’m Drinking It For You’.

3,945 entries were submitted this year in the Spikes Asia Awards, spanning a broad spectrum of creative disciplines, including the new Creative eCommerce Spike Award, launched in 2019, and Glass – the Award for Change, launched in 2018.

This was the first time in ten years that a Grand Prix was awarded in every Spike. 

Festival Director Joe Pullos said, “The Spikes Asia Awards are the definitive benchmark for creativity in the region and it was fantastic to see the quality, breadth and diversity of work that was awarded a coveted trophy on stage tonight.

“Congratulations to all of our winners – only the very best ideas and execution are awarded – the creative bar for the year ahead has now officially been set.”

3. PHD WORLDWIDE
