ANZ Appoints Sian Chadwick As GM Of Brand Strategy & Marketing

ANZ has announced the appointment of Sian Chadwick (lead image) as general manager, brand strategy and marketing, Australia.

With over 20 years’ of finance experience spanning banking, payments and fintech within both global and local operations, Chadwick will look to bring a blend of integrated marketing expertise, a focus on employee engagement, business growth and increased brand recognition to the role when she officially joins on 22 May, 2023.

Chadwick’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the bank’s marketing division which has recently undergone a transformational restructure and operating model geared to being future-focused while improving efficiencies. The new model also provides exceptional opportunities for ANZ marketers to continuously develop their skill-sets across multiple capabilities.

Sweta Mehra, CMO, ANZ said: “I’ve known and admired Sian for many years. Her focus on finding insights into customers and harnessing data to support marketing decisions perfectly aligns with ANZ’s marketing vision. I’m looking forward to working closely with Sian to help deliver financial wellbeing to even more Australians.”

Sian Chadwick said: “When it comes to working in marketing and brand reputation we must look at the blending of creativity, art and science all coming together. All this starts with the insight, most often through analysing data and listening to the voice of the customer, to really understanding the what and getting to the why.

I’m looking forward to championing ANZ’s brand and marketing strategic agenda and driving relationships, reputation and revenue for the Australia Retail and Commercial divisions. And crucially, ensuring ANZ is synonymous with financial wellbeing – supported by the employee experience while helping them grow and expand in their roles.”

Chadwick’s career has centred around financial services, leading marketing and personalisation teams, regional B2B Marketing and Data Insights, Digital Sales, Premium Products and Customer Experience within major banking environments. Chadwick was most recently the regional marketing director for IG Group, a UK fintech.
