Former CBA marketing chief Andy Lark has been appointed CMO at Foxtel ahead of the company’s sharemarket float with Fox Sports.
Lark arguably boasts one of the most impressive marketer’s resume in Australia that includes stints at Dell, Sun Microsystems, Xero and, of course Comm Bank.
Lark’s appointment follows a five month hunt for a new CMO at the pay TV provider following Mark Buckman’s departure back in September.
It’s been reported that Lark’s primary task will to transform Foxtel’s image into a cutting-edge technology and video-on-demand broadcaster.
CEO of Foxtel, Peter Tonagh, said of Lark’s appointment: “Andy is an outstanding leader, globally recognised for his marketing and leadership in both large companies and high growth start-ups.
“His passion for content generally will be a great asset for us. I’m thrilled to have him on board,” Tonagh said.
