Ad creatives can be known for sometimes skirting the truth on things (any ad with Clive Palmer in it, a case in point).
But US mattress brand Nectar is calling out advertising mistruths in a new campaign that’s as much about flogging mattresses as it is a less-than-subtle dig at its competitors.
Be it penis enlargement pills, sports cars for Baby Boomers or women jogging during their cycles, Nectar is slaying adland’s tired tropes and clichés.
The witty, big budget spot was done in-house, with creatives saying they got their inspiration from TV shows and plays such as South Park, The Book of Mormon and Family Guy.
