TRIBE has announced Keith Weed, Unilever’s ex-CMO, as an investor.
Named the World’s Most Influential CMO by Forbes in both 2017 and 2018, Weed served as chief marketing and communications officer for the consumer packaged goods (CPG) giant for the last decade.
Weed commented: “What I love about TRIBE is their ability to provide creative at scale, while significantly reducing the cost.
“One of the biggest challenges facing today’s marketers is trying to balance the ever-growing need for more high-quality content, at greater speed and lower cost -TRIBE solves that issue.”
Founded by Australian TV & radio host, Jules Lund, in 2015, Weed joins the content marketplace following their successful U.S. launch, which included a $10.5 million Series A funding round with investors from around the globe.
TRIBE’s platform already boasts eye-opening numbers.
With over $250,000 of branded content generated by their network per day, creating over 20,000 pieces of content per month, TRIBE has already worked with 44 of the top 100 global brands, including Unilever, L’Oreal and Marvel, among others.
Since launching in the US three months ago, TRIBE has worked with over 50 clients locally, including Procter & Gamble, Logitech and Unilever.
On the influencer side, TRIBE already has over 10,000 US-based influencers in their network.
Lund said: “TRIBE exists for marketers. So to have the world’s most awarded marketer validate our model is hard to top.
“But what excites me most, is knowing that Keith’s unparalleled expertise will help us understand how to better serve an industry that gets more exciting by the day.”
