Upheaval at Mojo Sydney as Craig Davis quits

Publicis Mojo Sydney’s chief creative officer Craig Davis is quitting the agency next year triggering a cascade of changes at the agency, with Clemenger BBDO’s Michael Dole set to join in January.

According to a statement released this afternoon Davis has resigned to “focus on creativity and innovation in a wider business context”.

He said: “I’ve enjoyed my time at Mojo, it’s a formidable creative company with great clients and wonderful people, but I’m passionate about applying design thinking and creativity to some new challenges.”

In 2010 he founded Brandkarma, the world’s first brand-centric social media platform.

CEO Joe Pollard said: “I want to thank Craig for his enormous contribution to the business over the last three years and wish him the very best for the future. He has been a great contributor to the creative leadership of Mojo and within the industry.”

The creative department in Sydney will be led by Pim Van Nunen, while Dole, currently head of art at Clemenger, will join in the same role, working alongside head of copy Ian Williamson.

Dole said "I'm really looking forward to joining an international team who have a genuinely unique and exciting way of working in this market.

“I've always admired Pim and Ian's work and I can't wait to start making stuff together."

Whybin\TBWA creative technologist Shaun O’Connor will also join the team in January in the same role, to provide the “voice of digital technology within the creative process”.
