Changing perceptions around dog adoptions is the latest task Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has been tasked with undertaking on behalf of Pedigree.
To encourage people to proudly display their adopted dog to the world the agency worked with The Sticker Family to design a ‘My Family’ sticker to display on cars.
The custom Pedigree Adoption Drive sticker is a spotty dog in the distinctive Pedigree yellow.
The aim is to noramlise pet adoption and encourage people to rescue, instead of buy, their next pet.
The campaign is based on research which shows that while 70% of dog owners think adopting is a good idea only 11% actually go onto rescue a dog.
But of the small group who did adopt, 85% said they would consider doing it again because it was a positive experience.
The free Pedigree Adoption Drive stickers will be available at IGA super-stores, Coles Online, within Woolworths Fresh Magazine and by request online here.
