M&C Saatchi has snared Droga5’s chief strategy officer Justin Graham to take on the same role.
The CSO role is newly created within M&C Saatchi and will see Graham manage the strategy across the 10 businesses that make up the M&C Saatchi group.
He is M&C Saatchi’s third high-profile appointment this year with Ogilvy & Mather’s Marc van den Berg joining as group operations director in October and Tiphereth Gloria as social strategy director in September.
He will report to chief executive Jaimes Leggett and work alongside executive creative director, Ben Welsh.
Leggett described Graham as a “world class strategist” who would drive the M&C group forward.
“His expertise and experience are a perfect fit for our integrated offering. It is also encouraging that after a global search we found Justin right here in Sydney.”
Graham added: “The power of the M&C Saatchi Group lies in its power to deliver cut-through communications at every level, from big campaigns to the nimblest of executions.”
“There’s a real climate of collaboration between all the specialist businesses.”
In October Graham became just the second advertising exec to be named one of BOSS Magazine’s Young Executives of the Year.
Before joining Droga5 Graham was BBDO global planning director in New York where he led the Proctor & Gamble and Diageo accounts.
