The Limitless Equation Podcast, hosted by Chloe Hooper, has released a new episode titled ‘Limitless Energy,’ featuring Laura Halbert, general manager of customer strategy and marketing at Allianz.
In the conversation, Halbert dives into how her energy and authenticity have shaped her leadership style, and the journey it took to become comfortable showing up as herself.
“I’ve got a great big ball of energy that I take out to the world,” Halbert said.
The episode dives into the realities behind that energy, including years of self-doubt, over-preparation, and the pressure to be perfect in high-stakes environments.
“I would practise in the mirror before meetings… it’s taken me 20 years to realise it’s totally okay just to be yourself,” she said.
Halbert also reflects on a pivotal career moment where she was encouraged to speak up at the executive table, highlighting the gap between confidence and self-belief.
“You can be confident, but still not believe in yourself,” she said.
The conversation explores the shift from high-performance output to finding genuine enjoyment in the work itself, particularly in complex, high-pressure environments.
“When something’s really hard, that’s where the joy is,” Halbert said. “You’re pioneering something, that’s pretty damn cool.”
Reflecting on the episode, Hooper said: “Laura has this incredible ability to light up a room, but what stood out most was the honesty behind it. Her journey from control to authenticity, and her perspective on self-belief, perfection, and joy, is something so many people will relate to.”
“It’s a powerful reminder that you don’t need to have it all figured out to lead in a meaningful way.”
