Yahoo7 is pleased to announce two new appointments to its executive leadership team, both of which are internal promotions from their tremendous depth of talent.
Mark Robinson has been promoted to director of product and Simon Wheeler has been promoted to director of content.
The creation of these new roles follows the announcement that Caroline Casey (pictured above) has made the decision to return to London.
Yahoo7 CEO Ed Harrison said: “I am excited to work more closely with Simon and Mark in their new positions in our leadership team. It is testament to their successes in their previous roles at Yahoo7, and our excellent pool of talent that we were able to promote internally to these roles.
“I’d also like to extend sincere thanks to Caroline for her amazing work at Yahoo7 over the past three years and wish her the very best.”
Wheeler has over 15 years’ experience in the digital media industry, with the last five at Yahoo7 – most recently as head of product.
Robinson oversees the creation and curation of all the media content across the Yahoo7 network – spanning news, Be (lifestyle, entertainment and travel) sport and TV. He has had a long career in journalism and content for over 17 years, spanning publishers from the UK and Australia, most recently as head of editorial for Yahoo7.
Yahoo7 also announced title changes for both commercial director Paul Sigaloff and technology director Paul Russell to chief revenue officer and chief technology officer respectively.
