RXP Group-owned The Works have appointed former Big Red CEO Bridget Cleary (left in main photo) to lead its Melbourne office as it ramps up in the Victorian capital.
Cleary, a born and bred Melburnian, joins as managing partner from Big Red where for more than five years she oversaw the independent agency’s doubling in size and transformation of digital capabilities across clients including Medibank, Coles and Optus.
The Works co-founder and creative partner Kevin Macmillan (right in photo) will work with Cleary to build the Melbourne office.
Cleary said: “This was such a compelling opportunity for me. I’ve always admired The Works and I look forward to help grow the agency and unlock their Making Happier Humans positioning, which I believe is the strongest enabler of business growth, staff happiness and productivity. In addition, being able to draw on the added power of RXP to drive and deliver all aspects of organisational change means we have a strong and compelling offer in Melbourne.”
Macmillan added: “Bridget and I have worked alongside one another as partners and competitors for a number of years. I’ve always thought she was a Works person through and through and is perfect to lead the Melbourne team. She’s incredibly good at what she does, but her level of care across the work and towards client relationships is second to none.”
The agency has already partnered with a number of clients since launching in Melbourne, as well as joining forces with RXP to deliver end to end digital and marketing services.
Ross Fielding, CEO of RXP Group said: “Bridget’s experience and local knowledge means she’s ideally placed to spearhead The Works’ expansion. The integration continues to drive opportunities across the group and we look forward to replicating the success we’ve enjoyed in Sydney in Melbourne.”
Cleary, who also joins The Works leadership team, has started in the role.
