Woolworths’ Alan Jenner Joins Comcast’s FreeWheel

Woolworth’s programmatic lead Alan Jenner has been appointed director of platform partnerships (ANZ) at Comcast’s adtech platform FreeWheel.

Freewheel connects advertisers with premium streaming and CTV content, offering tools in the buy, sell and inventory management.

Jenner’s move comes after a nearly five-year tenure at the Woolworths Group as senior media manager of programmatic.

Jenner told B&T: “I’m thrilled to support FreeWheel, a Comcast Company, with its global growth during what is a transformative moment for digital advertising.

As the boundaries between linear and digital continue to blur, the growth of Connected TV (CTV), BVOD & Premium Video is reshaping how brands connect with audiences. Shifting consumer behaviours demand more sophisticated, transparent, and premium ad experiences – and there is no company better positioned to lead that charge.

I’ve long admired FreeWheel’s commitment to innovation, and I’m eager to build on the incredible foundations already in place. I look forward to partnering across the region to navigate this complex landscape and drive meaningful, data-driven success.”

Jenner has built a career across the advertising, media and technology sectors. Prior to Woolworths, he has held senior roles at LiveRamp, Comscore, Bauer Media, Optus and Telstra.

In a post on LinkedIn, Jenner added: “The ad-tech landscape is evolving rapidly, and I couldn’t be more excited to lead platform partnerships across Australia and New Zealand during such a pivotal time.”

“I am incredibly proud of what we achieved as a team and I am grateful for the relationships, growth, support, memories and laughs along the way.”
