The season premiere of Seven’s Farmer Wants a Wife’s was Monday nights most-watched entertainment program with a Total TV National Reach of 2,133,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 972,000.
Not far behind in seventh was Seven’s AFL: The Big Freeze @ The G. It’s the annual charity event raising money to find a cure for motor neurone disease (MND). Various Aussie celebs joined in to bring awareness to the cause including Amy Shark and Andy Lee, who slid into an ice pool in peculiar costumes. It had a national reach of 1,335,000 and an average audience of 903,000.
Nine’s Tipping Point Australia remained a reliable source of entertainment with a national reach of 1,446,000 and an average audience of 716,000.
On 10, MasterChef Australia celebrated Aussie Classics Week featuring guest celebrity guest Curtis Stone. The episode came in eighth with a national reach of 1,212,000 and an average audience of 704,000.
ABC’s Four Corners came in at fourteenth with a nation reach of 926,000 and an average audience of 534,000.
On Sunday, Seven’s AFL coverage outrated Nine’s NRL offering in the weekend sports battle. Meanwhile, Shark! continued to show promising momentum for Nine, posting strong numbers yet again.
On Saturday night, Hollywood blockbuster Dune: Part 2 topped the entertainment rankings on Nine, with Seven’s Better Homes and Gardens being its closest rival. The result comes ahead of the highly anticipated Dune: Part 3, due for release later this year.
On Friday night, AFL once again outrated NRL in the sporting battle. Game shows made their presence felt, with multiple titles cracking the top five on the night.
