Wednesday TV Wrap: MAFS Finale Pulls Seven Times Bondi Rescue’s Viewers

As expected, last night’s Married At First Sight’s finale proved ratings gold for Nine, pulling a whopping 1.75 million viewers.

In comparison, that was almost seven times the number of eyeballs for Ten’s struggling Bondi Rescue that drowned under 273,000 viewers.

Seven’s MKR put up an admirable fight with 936,000 considering the huge interest in the MAFS’ swan song.

Even News.com.au jumping in on the MAFS bandwagon, dedicating no less than three stories as its leads this morning.

Unsurprisingly, Nine took the night with 38 per cent audience share. Seven was second with 28.8 per cent. The ABC continued Ten’s woeful run, with 15.6 per cent to Ten’s 11.3 per cent. SBS had 6.3 per cent. And, it must be said, Nine’s rivals will be very happy to see the back of MAFS for another year.

Seven’s 6pm news won the night, beating rival Nine 951,000 to 921,000, respectively. ACA also did well with 901,000.

Ten’s best was the ever-fluctuating The Project that pulled 442,000.

Over at the ABC, its night went thus: ABC News (757,000), Hard Quiz (608,000), Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell (608,000), 7:30 (595,000), Sando (427,000), Insert Name Here (235,000) and Think Tank (207,000).

SBS was again relying on trains, its best was Great Continental Railway Journeys that had 245,000 rail enthusiasts.
