Wednesday TV Wrap: Explosive Origin Decider Pulls A Sweet 1.9M

Queensland has taken out the 2020 State of Origin series with a 2-1 win after the Maroons won game 3 of the series, beating the NSW Blues 20-14.

And, a very decent 1.88 million metro viewers tuned in to watch the action, according to OzTAM metro data. This is only slightly down on the two million who watched the decider in 2019.

Pre-match did a cool 770,000 views, while some 769,000 stuck around for some post-match analysis.

As a result, Nine easily won the night with 37.8 per cent primary channel share. Meanwhile, Seven did 13.1 per cent, ABC did 12.4 per cent, 10 did 6.4 per cent and SBS finished on 4.4 per cent.

Here’s how the rest of the night ran:

Nine

News did 782,000, and Hot Seat did 341,000.

Seven

News did 1.02m, The Chase did 524,000, Home and Away did 543,000 and Inside the Queen Mary did 290,000.

ABC

News did 686,000, Hard Quiz did 586,000,  Gruen did 591,000, 7.30 did 571,000, Reputation Rehab did 328,000 and Planet America did 324,000.

The Project did 571,000 while 10 News First did 342,000.
