Wednesday TV Wrap: America’s Got Talent Beats Most Aussie Shows

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT --

America’s Got Talent has beaten out most Aussie entertainment shows, raking in 563,000 metro viewers, according to OzTAM numbers.

The Chase Australia (677,000) and Home and Away (653,000), were the only two entertainment shows to earn more eyeballs.

A sign that there’s not enough Aussie drama/entertainment? Or a sign Aussies prefer good old American content?

All being shows on Seven, this led Seven to an all channels win 29.0 per cent. Nine did 24.8 per cent, 10 did 17.0 per cent, ABC did 18.9per cent and SBS did a rare 10.3 per cent.

Nine’s best entertainment show for the night was Hot Seat (554,000), while 10’s best for the night was Bondi Rescue (346,000). The ABC’s Julia Zemiro’s Home Delivery enjoyed 547,000.

Here’s how the rest of the night ran:

Nine

News did 990,000, ACA did 698,000 and a Kath & Kim repeat did 356,000.

10

The Project did 541,000, and 10 News First did 405,000.

Seven

News did 1.16m.

ABC

News did 786,000, 7.30 did 649,000 and At Home Alone Together did 389,000.

Primary channel share

Seven won the night with 20.8 per cent, Nine did 16.0 per cent, 10 did 9.4 per cent while ABC did 14.1 per cent and SBS did 6.3 per cent.
