Vogue Australia and American Express have come together for the sixth consecutive year for the fashion and retail event, Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night In 2021.

Building on the success of last year’s virtual program, the event will run online from 15 to 24 October 2021. Launching this Friday, Vogue Australia and presenting partner American Express have once again reimagined the annual Fashion’s Night Out event this year to host Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night In.

The 10-day national festival of fashion and beauty will include online offers and a series of shoppable virtual experiences designed to reinvigorate the retail and fashion industry.

Online, the event will present a program with exclusive online shopping offers and deliver a series of immersive brand experiences. All participating retailers will feature on vogue.com.au with shoppable links driving back to their e-commerce stores. Store listings will be live over the 10-day event period.

Vogue and American Express will also host a Shoppable Runway show which will headline activity for the event on 15 October.

The shoppable runway show will feature the best of the new season from Australian designers and retailers. Encapsulating the theme of re-emergence, the runway will inspire consumers to embrace the summer season ahead and feature looks for all occasions, from swim to evening.

Vogue Australia, editor-in-chief, Edwina McCann, said: “This incredible event was founded by Anna Wintour in 2009, with the intention of supporting retailers suffering from the GFC.

“In 2020 the global pandemic challenged us to reimagine the event and Fashion’s Night Out became Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night In, and we were reminded of the events core purpose – to encourage spending and reinvigorate the retail and fashion industry.

“In 2021 we will return to an online format nationally, designed to inject much-needed optimism and provide significant economic benefit for participating retailers.

“We are so pleased to have American Express partner with us as their investment ensures we connect our audiences with participating retailers and Australian designers. We will work together to deliver a fantastic virtual experience for our customers that supports an upturn in economic outcomes and community recovery that extends beyond the campaign period.”

American Express, vice president of brand, charge cards and member experience, Naysla Edwards, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Vogue again this year to bring to life a 10-day virtual festival of fashion and beauty.

“This is one of the biggest national fashion events of the year, and we’re proud to not only provide a platform to help back the retail industry but also celebrate the diversity and richness of the local fashion landscape and those that contribute to it.

“Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night In will provide consumers with the opportunity to enjoy incredible immersive virtual shopping experiences, including a shoppable runway and online masterclasses – all from the comfort of their home.”

American Express Card Members will also receive access to exclusive offers to spend with more than 150 participating retailers.
