Visa has called a global pitch on its creative account worth $200m ($AU286.4m), with reports it has invited incumbents BBDO and Saatchi & Saatchi to pitch, according to Adweek.
According to reports, Visa is looking to consolidate its creative agency with a single agency of record globally.
Visa appointed BBDO to lead its creative account globally in 2012 from incumbent TBWA. BBDO handles Visa’s creative across APAC, including Singapore, Malyasia and Hong Kong. Saatchi & Saatchi handles creative for Visa Europe since 2015.
Locally in Australia, Clemenger BBDO Sydney holds Visa’s creative account, while Starcom does its media. Visa has also been working with Starcom globally since 2015.
Reports indicate Starcom will continue to serve as Visa’s global media agency of record.
B&T contacted the local agencies concerned, however, they couldn’t offer any comment due to it being a global pitch.
