Urban List has expanded into Adelaide, Hobart, Wellington, and Christchurch and marking a milestone in the company’s next era of growth.
Urban List is boosting its audience by launching four new, always-on city platforms designed to own search, shape culture, and put brands at the centre of where travellers go next.
“Culture doesn’t sit still, and neither do we. We’re backing the cities where creativity is rising and helping brands connect with audiences who move fast, feel deeply, and live like it matters,” Jacqui La’Brooy, CEO, Urban List, said.
Each new market will add a distinct voice to the Urban List network, with Adelaide’s wine, festival, and culinary scene; Hobart’s oysters, whiskey, and art; Christchurch’s street art, laneway parties, and bars; Wellington’s cafes, craft beer, and all-around culture.
“The big cities already get lots of love, but we know creativity is thriving in Adelaide, Hobart, Christchurch and Wellington. These destinations have been handpicked by our team because they’re home to some of the most exciting new hospo businesses, festivals, culinary and artistic talent and locals doing things differently. These new platforms allow us to hero the stories of emerging businesses, and bring our trusted, friend-with-cred voice to cities where culture is popping off right now,” Emma Bishop, head of content: features and lifestyle, said.
The publisher will launch two new cities every quarter, expanding its footprint from Byron to Bali, Tokyo to wherever’s next— a connected network of culture seekers, creators, and brands moving together.
“For our partners, it’s more than reach, it’s resonance. We don’t just cover destinations, we create genuine desire—turning scrolling into truly showing up. With 91 per cent of our audience acting on our recommendations, we deliver measurable impact for our clients,” Leilani Vakaahi, commercial director said.
To mark Urban List’s landing in Adelaide, the publisher is partnering with Flight Centre to give away the ultimate Adelaide escape for two: flights, stays, and an exclusive Urban List itinerary curated by editors valued at $3K. Entries to the comp are open now at Urban List’s website.
