Unsigned Management And Artmix Merge On The Back Of Recent Wins

Melbourne’s Unsigned Management and its sister company, Artmix, are now one. Over the past four-and-a-half years, Unsigned Management has earned a reputation for top-flight photography production and artist representation.

While younger sibling, Artmix, has been helping its clients create strategic social and PR campaigns. Now, all the services offered by the two companies are being delivered under the Artmix moniker.

Wendy Lilley, Artmix’s managing partner and executive producer, said the merger was a no brainer. “The two companies complement each other perfectly. Bringing them together means a more holistic service for our ad
agency clients and the brands we work with directly.

“We were seeing lots of direct clients shooting campaign photography and then not really knowing how to get the most from their images. Now we work through a social strategy before shooting campaigns.

“We get an understanding of what the client wants to achieve, where the content will live, and consider other mediums the content could be used in. This allows us to plan shoots more creatively and budget cleverly.”

James Pipino, photographer and creative partner at Artmix, says the ability to create and promote content means clients end up with more integrated campaigns, and more bang for their buck.

“We represent some of the best artists in the country and to now have them shooting and styling content specifically for social campaigns as well, is really exciting.

“We organise street style, editorial, product shoots, multiple brand collaborations, and more and more shoots with influencers. Having our own photographic studio in Prahran is a big plus too. It gives us greater flexibility, and a real advantage when it comes to quoting.”

The merger has been announced after some significant new business wins for the company. Revlon Professional, American Crew, and Linear Hair Group are all on board. As is global brand, Forever New, who came to Artmix to create imagery that will ‘push the boundaries in the eComm space’.

“We’ve had a really positive response from everyone,” said Lilley. “Our artists get to weave their magic in the social space as well as traditional media. And our clients are getting more from their shoots than they realised they could.”
